Valuation Guidelines for CVCA Members
As a result of the improvements made to the EVCA valuation guidelines in the European market, the CVCA has recommended that its members adopt the new EVCA guidelines, now called “The International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation Guidelines (IPEVCG)”, in their entirety. These guidelines have been adopted by 21 venture industry associations around the world and have been endorsed by the ILPA. There is a link to these guidelines, and a comparison to the prior guidelines on the CVCA website at www.cvca.ca/about/valuation/ or directly at http://www.privateequityvaluation.com/.
Canadian Institutions and Private Equity
CVCA’s Institutional Committee was formed specifically to follow through on the recommendations outlined in the government commissioned report “Finding the Key – Canadian Institutional Investors and Private Equity” which was released in December 2003. The CVCA has prepared a detailed presentation directed at encouraging new institutional investors to participate in the venture capital and private equity asset class.
