As trade association for the private equity and venture capital association in Belgium, the BVA represents a group of investors who stand out as responsible and professional shareholders.

We need to be in a position to demonstrate to the community that our members are indeed active shareholders in companies who all share the highest business values and ethics.

A task force including several members and segments of our members and a representative of EVCA have held the pen and drafted the Code of Conduct. The board has welcomed and approved the 10 point document.The Board wants all its members to adhere and comply with the Code of Conduct.

Therefore, the board proposed its members during the General Assembly on March 26, to modify BVA’s bylaws and introduce a reference to the Code of Conduct and its mandatory character for members. This proposition was accepted by all members present.

The Code of Conduct is a document of its own which will be maintained under supervision of the board.
